Is aluminum silicate fiber blanket a refractory fiber?

Refractory fiber, as the name implies, refers to fiber products with fire resistance. This product not only has the characteristics of softness, high strength and processability of ordinary fibers, but also has the properties of high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance of refractory materials.

3. Chemical stability, oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance; In addition to strong acid and alkali, aluminum silicate fiber blanket is almost free from chemical corrosion.

 

4. Good thermal shock resistance; The aluminum silicate fiber blanket has high porosity and can effectively absorb the thermal shock caused by high temperature.

 

5. Low heat capacity; Aluminum silicate fiber blanket has a low heat storage capacity and can hardly absorb heat.

 

6. Soft, strong processability; Aluminum silicate fiber blanket can be processed into ceramic fiber board, ceramic fiber castable, ceramic fiber coating, refractory cloth, high-temperature packing and other derivative products as required.

 

It can be seen that aluminum silicate fiber blanket is one of the conventional products of refractory fiber. In addition, there are mullite fiber with high temperature resistance, asbestos and glass fiber with low temperature resistance.
